Laura Wolfe
Laura Wolfe is the Managing Director of Journey9 UK and she has over ten years experience in marketing and communications.
Before setting up Journey9 UK in January 2010, Laura was a director of Out There Events Limited, managing substantial accounts for a range of clients including the NHS, the Institute of Financial Services, the Institute of Directors, the UK Science Park Association, Business Link Northwest, BDO, Hill Dickinson, Manchester: Knowledge Capital, Guardian Media Group, Leeds City Council, the New Children’s Hospital Appeal and the NSPCC.
As well as delivering a wide spectrum of events for clients from 10 – 2000 people, Laura developed a new strategic consultancy arm for the business, advising clients on event and sponsorship strategies as part of the wider marketing piece, taking into account partnerships, brand-matching, networking and business development strategies.
Laura’s previous roles with Merrill Lynch Europe plc and ABN AMRO, both in London and her five years running the Institute of Directors North West operation, where she originated and delivered over 300 events, have given her extensive experience of strategic events and sponsorships. She is expert in building and maintaining relationships with key business stakeholders and influencers across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.
Laura sits on various boards and committees, including the Royal Exchange Theatre Development Committee, Downtown Manchester in Business Advisory Board and the pro.manchester Communications Committee.
When not working, Laura’s passions are her family (she is married with one son) and football (she is a season ticket holder at Manchester City FC).
